Before They Were Stars: Jennifer Lawrence on “Cold Case”

As you probably know, shortly after the Academy Award nominations are announced, it’s a tradition here at The Back Row for me to do “Before They Were Stars” features on as many of the nominees as possible. At only 23 years old, Jennifer Lawrence already has her third Oscar nomination (and potentially her second win) for her performance in American Hustle. Not bad for an actress who started out with a role in a mascot costume on Monk. Anyway, at the age of 16, she made a guest appearance on Cold Case and in an interesting bit of foreshadowing, Paula Malcomson, the actress who plays her mother in this episode, would go on to play Katniss Everdeen’s mother in the The Hunger Games.
