Before They Were Stars: Sandra Bullock’s High School Cheerleading Days

As you probably know, shortly after the Academy Award nominations are announced, it’s a tradition here at The Back Row for me to do “Before They Were Stars” features on as many of the nominees as possible. Sandra Bullock has the potential to win her second Academy Award for her performance in Gravity, but if she does, I hope they play some of this footage at the ceremony. A Youtube user named Binkybloch went to Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia with Bullock in the early 1980s and has posted up a channel featuring handheld footage of her performing at school during her teen years. This particular video of her cheerleading routine even made it onto the ABC News website.
