Webmaster Mike made a good point after I showed him this trailer, which is that Wally Pfister’s Transcendence will live or die entirely based on its ending. He’s totally right. While the film looks like a solid, if a bit techno-phobic-fear-monger-y, sci-fi thriller, it could go completely off the rails in the final act, and all those shots of stuff floating around magically do make me worry a little. With the cast and director pedigree behind Transcendence, I will absolutely watch the movie, but I’m going to have my fingers crossed the whole time that it doesn’t jump the shark.
