I always find it fascinating when I see famous actors pop up in deleted scenes from before they were famous. It must be very frustrating to be any aspiring actor and earn a role which gets left on the cutting room floor. In 2005, Michelle Monaghan suffered what must have felt like a major career setback after she was cut out of not one, but two major films. Monaghan had prominent roles in both Constantine and Syriana, but in both cases, her character was completely excised. In Constantine, she even played the role of the title character’s lover until the filmmakers decided they wanted to make Constantine more of a loner. Thankfully for Monaghan, roles in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Mission: Impossible III helped her career take off shortly afterward.
