I wanna be clear: I think that the upcoming Michael Bay-produced reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles looks like a hot mess. Megan Fox as April O’Neil? William Fichtner as Shredder? Yikes, man. Anyway, I thought it was at least worth posting this new trailer because you get a look at Splinter (voiced by TONY SHALHOUB WTF?!) and a very TMNT-esque rocket skateboard. Y’know, even though the turtles look totally weird, the special effects here are pretty good. If it was someone other than Michael Bay overseeing production – maybe Edgar Wright or Joe Cornish? – I’d probably be excited for this.
