I’ve previously showcased Martin Scorsese’s bizarre short, The Big Shave, which was basically six minutes of a guy shaving off his own skin, and here’s Scorsese’s student film, What’s a Nice Girl Like You Doing in a Place Like This?, which he made while attending New York University. This nine-minute short basically chronicles an eccentric writer who becomes obsessed with a picture hanging on his wall and eventually winds up disappearing into the picture.
