Before They Were Stars: Kristen Bell in “Pootie Tang”

Remember the infamous 2001 comedy, Pootie Tang, which was a failed attempt to stretch a sketch from The Chris Rock Show to feature length? I was surprised to look back and see that this trainwreck was written and directed by Louis C.K., but I was even more surprised to find out that Kristen Bell made her screen debut here in a miniscule role. What’s hilarious is that Bell only had one line of dialogue, which was cut from the finished film, but she still wound up appearing on camera during some outtakes in the end credits.
