The Visual Comedy of Edgar Wright

Edgar Wright departed the production of Marvel’s Ant-Man recently, and it seems like everybody was disappointed by this decision. Not disappointed in Wright, because as we said on literally the first episode of the Back Row’s podcast, Edgar Wright can do no wrong, but in Marvel and Disney for wanting to homogenize Wright’s awesome, quirky style into something more generically Marvel-branded. In response, Tony Zhou has crafted this video, which masterfully outlines all the genius that Wright’s vision can bring to a film. I love this stuff, but if you’re as big a fan of Wright’s work as I am, you might find yourself watching this and thinking “Well DUH.”
