Song of the Sea tells the story of Ben and his little sister Saoirse — the last Seal-child — who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend and magic in an attempt to return to their home by the sea.
Much like the films of Laika studios, I’ve been completely enchanted by the work of Tomm Moore, whose big film to date was The Secret of Kells. The art style that Moore brings to his work is just utterly gorgeous, and makes the now-generic style of Disney look, well, completely generic. Just look at it! This trailer is one of the most beautiful pieces of cinema I’ve seen all year!
