Before They Were Stars: Andrew Garfield on “Doctor Who”

Man, given the vast history of Doctor Who, it seems surprising that I’ve never done a “Before They Were Stars” about someone appearing on the show before they were famous, but here you go. In 2007, an unknown Andrew Garfield appeared on the two-part Doctor Who┬ástory, “Daleks in Manhattan” and “Evolution of Manhattan”. In these episodes, the Doctor and his crew travel back to Great Depression-era New York City and encounter a poverty-stricken kid played by Garfield, who speaks with a Southern accent.
