Before They Were Stars: Nicki Minaj Sings a WWE Entrance Theme

I’m not much of a music buff, but I am an aficionado of pro wrestling entrance music, so I was surprised to learn that Nicki Minaj sang a World Wrestling Entertainment entrance theme early on in her career. In 2004, Minaj was part of an rap group called The Hoodstars and their first major gig was recording the entrance song for WWE female wrestler, Victoria. The tune is called “Don’t Mess With” and, yes, that is Nicki Minaj singing the vocals on it. At least the gig was less embarrassing than the WWE music album Simon Cowell helped produce.
