Cantina Band Auditions

One of the things that I’m kinda dreading about the new Star Wars movies is the gratuitous cameos and unnecessary intertwining of stories. Think of how The Phantom Menace made it so that Darth Vader built C3PO. WTF?! Anyway, I’m really hoping that J.J. Abrams recognizes how dumb that kind of thing is and doesn’t, say, give us the entire backstory of how the cantina band got together. I mean, why would he? College Humor did it for us! And they cast Reggie Watts as an astromech droid. Now that is genius.
