Guardians of the Galaxy marks the last Marvel movie of 2014 and the last film before The Avengers: Age of Ultron draws Marvel’s Phase Two to a close. It’s wild to think that Marvel’s massive movie universe has been going on for six years now. Would you have thought, way back in 2008, that Iron Man would be the start of one of the biggest film franchises of all time, with multiple interwoven characters spanning over a dozen movies? Perhaps more astounding is that there’s barely a dud in the lineup! I mean, I found The Incredible Hulk pretty lackluster, and maybe the first Thor wasn’t as good as it could have been, but ultimately, I enjoyed the heck out of just about all of these movies. So here’s a look back at the first two chapters of the Marvel Movie Universe in all its glory, plus a teensy glimpse of what’s to come.
