Everyone was shocked to learn that former Saturday Night Live cast member Jan Hooks recently passed away at the age of 57. Before she was on SNL, Hooks got her first big break in the late 1970s by joining the cast of a cult sketch comedy series called Tush. The star of the show was Bill Tush, a popular radio and television personality from Atlanta who was given his own comedy series by his friend, Ted Turner, on a local station which eventually became TBS. Along with Jan Hooks, Bonnie and Terry Turner were also cast members on Tush, and they would go on to become writers for SNL and the creators of 3rd Rock from the Sun and That 70s Show.
