Before They Were Stars: Triple H with a Terrible French Accent

Before Triple H became a huge star in World Wrestling Entertainment, he started off his career with a stint in World Championship Wrestling under his real name, Jean-Paul Levesque. Because of his French-sounding name, Levesque made a brief attempt at speaking with a French accent, but it proved so awful that he wound up sounding like a white Jamaican instead. It’s also worth noting that legendary wrestling announcer Gordon Solie sounds incredibly plastered while conducting this interview. In fact, Levesque claims he was told that if Solie became incoherent and couldn’t finish the interview, he had permission to clothesline him to garner some heel heat.
