Strange things are afoot in Bad City. The Iranian ghost town, home to prostitutes, junkies, pimps and other sordid souls, is a bastion of depravity and hopelessness where a lonely vampire stalks its most unsavory inhabitants.
Our old pal FJ just attended an Iranian film festival and reported to me that A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night is the best vampire movie he’s seen in years. And hey, the trailer does look pretty damn cool. The write-up on this says it’s Sergio Leone meets David Lynch. If there was ever an elevator pitch that could sell me a movie instantly, it would be that one.
