Even though Christopher Walken has been acting since he was a kid, he didn’t get his first lead role until 1972 with this obscure horror/sci-fi outing called The Mind Snatchers about soldiers who get experimented on by having microchips implanted in their brains. Overall, the film is pretty dry, but Walken does showcase early glimpses of why he would become one of Hollywood’s most memorable actors. Incidentally, the trailer also features Ronny Cox in what was only his second film role after Deliverance and he delivers a really funny face after his brain gets zapped.
