When you read this, I want you to imagine me weeping at the beauty of this trailer, because damnit, that’s what I’m doing! Gorgeous, glorious 2D animation! Why is this such a rarity in our movies these days?! I absolutely adored The Secret of Kells from Tomm Moore, and he is clearly bringing that same magic to Song of the Sea. I’m calling it right now – this is going to be one of my favourite animated movies of the next few years. I can tell just by looking at it.
Song of the Sea is getting a limited release in December 2014, but there’s no word yet as to when (or if) it will go wide.
