A lot of people don’t know that one of Woody Allen’s early comedy gigs was as a writer on Candid Camera during the early 1960s. On the odd occasion, Woody would even appear on the show to participate in some of their pranks, like this sketch, where he poses as a executive who hires an unsuspecting stenographer and dictates some of the most silly, most unprofessional things for her to write down. Given what a recognizable figure Woody Allen would become, it’s hilarious to see him going all Borat and pulling a prank like this on someone who would have idea who he is.
