Before They Were Stars: David Bowie Performs with The Feathers

Throughout the 1960s, David Bowie paid his dues by playing with a lot of different bands before he finally found stardom. For a brief period, Bowie was part of a folk-rock trio called The Feathers, alongside his friend, John “Hutch” Hutchinson, and girlfriend at the time, Hermione Fatheringale (which sounds like the name of a Harry Potter character if there ever was one). The Feathers never officially released any songs, but did record this tune called “Ching-a-Ling”. Hilariously enough, Bowie is the only member of the trio who doesn’t get to a sing a verse here.
