Boy oh boy, this looks stinky. For a long time in my younger years, Terminator 2: Judgement Day was my absolute favourite movie. And that film really holds up, even if the CGI doesn’t. But man, since T2, it seems like the whole Terminator franchise has been in a nosedive. Terminator 3 was fun enough, but not great. Termination Salvation was just bad, bad, bad. And now we have the atrociously titled Terminator Genisys. Yuck. I was hoping that the trailer would make up for the bad title, but no, it doesn’t look like they’re doing anything particularly new here. It’s just a lot of stuff that we’ve either already seen or never needed to see, but with the majority of the cast replaced. Ugh, and Jai Courtney? I really can’t stand that guy. It seems like Hollywood wants me to like him, what with them putting him in stuff like A Good Day to Die Hard and now this, but man, he just has no charisma. He looks like a blank slab of meat, not all that dissimilar to Sam Worthington – another guy whom Hollywood tried to force into stardom by casting him in a Terminator movie. Anyway, Termynytyr Gynysys just looks like a pointless retread of stuff that was done better twenty to thirty years ago. Not yntyresyd. Oh, and there’s also this.
