Before They Were Stars: Sean Connery Does “Macbeth”

You might have wondered why the most famous Scottish actor in the world never played the most Scottish fictional character of all time. Well, it actually did happen. One year before he became James Bond, Sean Connery played the title role in a made-for-television production of Macbeth. Connery does a pretty decent job, but the production isn’t exactly the best, judging by the very visible boom mike shadow which pops up during this scene.
