What lurks in the Forest?

I was lucky enough to be given a copy of DayZ for Christmas, and I’m already getting immersed in the crazy survival fun of it all. Similar to DayZ in terms of creepy survival amidst monsters, but unlike DayZ in that it’s not an MMO is The Forest, an indie survival game that’s being primed for the Oculus Rift. Inspired by movies like The Descent and Cannibal Holocaust, The Forest looks suitably creepy and fun. I should probably play this at some point.
