Thirteen-year-old Lili fights to protect her dog Hagen. She is devastated when her father eventually sets Hagen free on the streets. Still innocently believing love can conquer any difficulty, Lili sets out to find her dog and save him.
Here’s a movie that came completely out of nowhere for me. I had never heard about it until I came across this trailer, but apparently it’s been a real hit at some festivals. But if you described this film to me, I would never guess that it was an R-rated drama. Like, never in a million years. It’s Planet of the Apes with dogs. It’s the antithesis of every stupid talking dog movie ever made. It’s Homeward Bound by way of revolution. And…I think I need to see it, guys.
