Now that the nominations for the 87th Academy Awards have been announced, it’s time for an annual tradition here at The Back Row: “Before They Were Stars” clips for this year’s nominees! A few years ago, I’m sure nobody would have predicted that Bradley Cooper garnering three straight Oscar nominations, but many people are calling his recent turn in American Sniper his career-best performance. Not bad for a guy who once asked Sean Penn a question from the studio audience of Inside the Actor’s Studio. Anyway, here’s footage of Cooper’s first official acting role as a guy who has a brief romance with Carrie in this 1999 episode of Sex and the City.
