It was only a matter of time before someone got around to remaking Poltergeist – frankly, I’m surprised they haven’t done a full-blown remake of The Exorcist yet. Now, I’m not 100% against remakes, but a stupid trend that I’ve noticed in remakes of horror films is that they just state the big twist in the trailer. The graveyard thing was a twist in the original, wasn’t it? But no, the studio just assumes that we’ve all seen Poltergeist so there’s no need to keep anything secret. Sigh. Just compare this to the trailer for the original and you’ll see a pretty drastic difference in quality.
