Before They Were Stars: Kate Winslet vs. Computers on “Dark Season”

Before Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, before Titanic, Kate Winslet was battling her evil Computer Science teacher on Dark Season. Dark Season was a short-lived, six-part TV sci-fi/drama that aired in 1991, and it was notable, of course, for being Winslet’s first major TV role. While Dark Season doesn’t seem especially great as a show, I’ve got to give it points for doing the sinister teachers vs. plucky students thing before Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
