THUMPER

I’m a big fan of rhythm games with a “coasting-on-a-track-from-a-third-person-perspective” style to them. Stuff like Amplitude, Rez and Audiosurf are all great fun, in my opinion, so naturally when I heard about Thumper I was intrigued. It purports to be the same style of game, only “rhythmically violent” and featuring a score that sounds like it could have been composed by Trent Reznor. Watching this teaser gives me the impression that the game will put the player at a strange kind of unease, and it looks like the video game version of the opening credits to Enter the Void. In other words, this is going to be awesome.
