Black Angel

There’s plenty of news about Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the rest of the upcoming trilogy, but news about the original trilogy is pretty rare these days, which makes the discovery of Black Angel pretty cool. When The Empire Strikes Back came out in theatres, 400 UK cinemas accompanied it with screenings of Black Angel, and although it was only a small release, the short still had an impact, especially upon Excalibur director John Boorman. After years of thinking that all the prints of Black Angel had been lost in a fire, someone found a surviving copy and lo! The internet has made it available to watch. I must say, I’m pretty envious that these guys got to shoot in those locations.
