I loved the first movie in the Muppet revival – titled The Muppets in an effort to confuse everyone – but found Muppets Most Wanted to be lackluster, albeit still a passable film. But as much as I’ve enjoyed most Muppet movies, I’ve always thought that the gang was at its best when it was on TV doing their variety show schtick. So hey, fans, rejoice! Now we’re getting a TV movie thing…that’s also called The Muppets! And it looks legitimately funny, too. So, uh, count me in again! Play the music and light the lights!
