I’ll admit, when I first heard of Victor Frankenstein, I was pretty skeptical. It sounded a little too close to other recent attempts at revitalizing the Universal movie monsters by making them younger and sexier. See also Dracula Untold. But now that I see this trailer, I’m totally on-board. It looks pretty over-the-top, but in a good way. Heck, there’s a zombie ape! Sign me up! Between this and American Ultra, I’d say Max Landis is the most promising up-and-coming screenwriter out there.
