Before They Were Stars: Alan Rickman in “Smiley’s People”

The Back Row is still in mourning over the loss of the late, great Alan Rickman, so here’s some more “Before They Were Stars” footage from early in his career. In 1982, Rickman had a small part in Smiley’s People, a BBC mini-series adaptation of the John le Carre spy novel with Sir Alec Guinness in the title role. And, oh yeah, Patrick Stewart also had a role in it as well and I’m not sure any mini-series could handle the awesomeness of having Obi-Wan Kenobi, Professor Snape and Professor Xavier in the same story together!
