Before They Were Stars: Bryan Cranston on a Soap Opera

It’s time once again to do the traditional round of “Before They Were Stars” clips for this year’s Academy Award nominees. After winning a ton of well-deserved Emmys, it’s awesome to finally see Bryan Cranston get his first Oscar nomination for his portrayal of legendary screenwriter Dalton Trumbo in Trumbo. Of course, Cranston has provided The Back Row with more “Before They Were Stars” material than pretty much any actor, as he did a plethora of commercials and television guest appearances during the first decade or so of his career. Perhaps not surprisingly, Cranston also found time to act on a soap opera, appearing on the pilot episode of the long-running soap, Loving, in 1983.
