It’s been quite a long time since I last ate at McDonald’s, but I’ll fully admit that when I lived down the street from one, I went there more than I should have. Since moving on from most fast food, though, I’ve had a sort of passive fascination with how an institution like the Golden Arches got so big and went from being seen as a family-friendly eatery to a symbol of corporate villainy. So naturally, I’m really interested in The Founder, which adapts the story of the founding of the fast food giant and stars the likes of Michael Keaton and Nick Offerman. I just hope that McDonald’s didn’t actually have a hand in making this movie, because that would mean that the really juicy stuff wouldn’t make the cut.
The Founder comes out August 5, 2016.
