The Killing Joke is one of my all-time favourite Batman comics, and I’m totally thrilled to see that it’s being made into a DC animated film with the voice talents of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill. But I hope that this is just early animation, because…well, I hate to admit it, but I’m a little underwhelmed by what I’m seeing in this trailer. The art in the graphic novel is so damn good that it feels like something of a downgrade to lose any of the detail. I’ll reserve judgement until I see the final release, though. Either way, you can bet your ass I’ll be watching this as soon as it’s available. Which is…when, exactly?
