I went to the movies tonight. What I saw and whether or not I enjoyed it is not at all the point of this story. But if you insist, I went to see Salt and loved every minute of it. Anyway, after the movie, I was standing outside the door to our particular screen. The screen next to ours was showing Twilight: Eclipse. While standing there, this young couple came out. They were both about 14-15 years old, and this is what they said:
GIRL: Oh man, that was so awesome!
BOY: No it wasn’t! That was so f*cking retarded!
And that, I think, entirely sums up how the Twilight films continue to do well at the box office. The girls love it and drag their boyfriends to see it, doubling the ticket sales. Go to hell, Twilight!
