We’re celebrating the legacy of Jim Henson on the Back Row today, and I thought I’d start things off with these two awesome TV commercials from Jim Henson himself! This is some of Henson’s earliest work, and while the puppets in the Wilkins Coffee ads are much less elaborate than the Muppets we know and love, the La Choy dragon (seen below) has a very familiar feel to him! I love how edgy these commercials are, especially the coffee ones. You’d never see ads like these today!
