What you see here is a trailer for the Wii remake of the classic N64 multiplayer FPS Goldeneye! While the updated graphics look great compared to the original, I’ve got some beef with the fact that the new Goldeneye features a James Bond who looks much more like Daniel Craig than Pierce Brosnan. I mean, c’mon, the game is called Goldeneye. Pierce Brosnan starred in Goldeneye. The Bond from the original N64 game was made to look (vaguely) like Pierce Brosnan. So what’s Daniel Craig doing in the remake of the game? Does not compute.
All that aside, I’m pretty keen on some four-player splitscreen FPS action. Local multiplayer seems to have gone the way of the dodo in recent years, so it’s nice to see it coming back a bit. Even if it’s only on the Wii.
