The First Trailer For The Beaver Has Finally Arrived

Things have not been good for Mel Gibson lately. After the hateful phone calls and having his cameo in The Hangover 2 handed over to Liam Neeson, it was beginning to seem like Mad Mel’s goose was cooked. The only glimmer of hope that he had of rekindling his career was a project that he had made just before the shit really hit the fan – a movie called The Beaver, directed by Jodie Foster. For a while, it seemed like The Beaver would never see the light of day, but now, at long last, the first trailer has appeared and….and…y’know, I must say I’m intrigued. I mean, there’s no way I’d ever condone the things that Mel Gibson said or did, but…damnit, I want to see this movie. It looks solid. Mel looks surprisingly solid in it. I mean, it’s a tough thing to overlook – finding out just how angry and nasty Mel can be – but if a movie piques my interest, I’ll be damned if I let something like a celebrity’s scandalous personal life keep me from seeing it.

The Beaver comes out spring of 2011. Will you be going to see it?
