Aussiemania continues this week on “Before They Were Stars” as I showcase some of the less-than-stellar early roles that Australian Hollywood stars have had in their native country. Nicole Kidman’s first acting job came at the age of 15 when she appeared in the ultra-cheesy music video for the song, “Bop Girl”, which was sung by Australian one-hit wonder Pat Wilson and became a hit single in 1983. Nicole plays a bridesmaid who is often seen, um, bopping around in the background and the best close-ups of her and her brown eighties hair come at the 2:19, 3:17 and 3:28 marks. Don’t worry, I’m sure one of these days, Pat Wilson is going to rise out of obscurity and team up with Hanson to create “MMMBop Girl”.
