Before They Were Stars: Michael J. Fox in a McDonald’s Commercial

Here’s an old McDonald’s commercial entitled “First Kiss” where a young Michael J. Fox plays a shy, dorky teenager who a buys a girl some McDonald’s on their first date and is so smooth that he even offers to let her use one of his napkins! At the end, he gets really excited when she says “thanks for dinner” and rewards him with his first kiss. Actually, the “kiss” is nothing more than a half-assed peck on the cheek, and she looks like she can’t get out of there fast enough! Call me cynical, but I think the guy probably should have aimed a little higher than McDonald’s. Honestly, Marty McFly’s makeout session with his mother in Back to the Future is less awkward than this conversation.
