A number of trailers for Battle: Los Angeles have already been released, and I’ve been approaching the film with a kind of extremely cautious optimism. After Skyline sucked really hard, I’ve been wary of Battle: Los Angeles simply because it’s another alien invasion movie that’s coming out not to long after Skyline stank up the cinema. But after seeing this trailer, I’m finally sold! This looks like a neat alien invasion movie that combines some of my favourite elements from two other great alien invasion films: District 9 and Monsters. In the end, I could see this being akin to Blackhawk Down with extraterrestrials, and that’s just fine by me!
