Zodiac
A tight cop thriller-intrigue. Even though I was expecting an intense, edge-of-my-seat serial killer movie, I quite enjoyed Zodiac‘s slower pacing and detailed design. Robert Downey Jr. steals the show as a vice-ridden, ballsy reporter.

Eastern Promises
With a cast of charismatic badasses like this, you can’t possibly go wrong. One of the best movies of 2007 – a tight, well-structured story with gloriously villainous characters. Viggo rocks.

A sweet little morsel from the geniuses at Pixar and the guy who created the Incredibles. A film that so perfectly captures the joy of good food, Ratatouille will leave you hungry for Parisien cuisine, even if it is prepared by rats.
