After Robin posted a bizarre Japanese commercial featuring Sean Connery, I couldn’t resist looking up a few more of Sean’s Japanese ads. In my search, I came across this one for Suntory whiskey that starred Connery drinking Suntory whiskey in formalwear, and I was instantly reminded of the commercial Bill Murray’s character was shooting in Lost in Translation. So what’s the deal? Was Sofia Coppola poking fun at this old Sean Connery commercial? Or perhaps all of Suntory whiskey’s commercials feature famous male actors drinking in suits.
