With Julie Taymor leaving Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark and cast injuries piling up, it’s a wonder that the doomed, money-hemorrhaging production is still pushing forward. Meanwhile, elsewhere in New York, the Peoples’ Improv Theater have put together their own Spidey musical, called The Spidey Project, on a budget of $0. And guess what: they managed to open it before Turn Off The Dark, officially making The Spidey Project the first Spider-Man musical to open in New York. On top of all that, they’ve kindly put the entire show online for us to enjoy! I’ve gotta say, for a slapdash, no-budget production, this is pretty damn good!
Look for parts 2, 3 and 4 under the cut!
