Trine is, hands down, one of my absolute favourite side-scrolling games. It managed to perfectly mix elements of beat-em-ups, jumping challenge games and interesting puzzle games, and as a bonus, you get to play as three different characters, each with their own unique abilities. Now we have a trailer for Trine 2 and, well, it’s pretty well perfect. Trine 2 looks like it’s sticking to all the wonderful things that made Trine so great, but with updated graphics and some new puzzle-y features (like being able to channel water on to plants so that they grow). In case you hadn’t gathered by now, I think this looks totally awesome, and watching this trailer gets me really excited.
Trine 2 doesn’t have an official release date yet, but it promises to come out in the spring of 2011…which means soon! Woohoo!
