For all that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End were both flashy but mindless films, I can’t help but get a little excited for the latest instalment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise On Stranger Tides when I watch this clip. On Stranger Tides is due to hit theatres May 20, 2011, which means it’s just around the corner! Can Disney bring one of its most lucrative new properties back from the brink of brainless disaster? If the zombies and mermaids that I’ve seen in the trailers live up to my expectations, it just might happen.
