For Nicole Kidman’s birthday today, it’s only appropriate that we pay tribute to one of her earliest films and you couldn’t find a cheesier title for it than BMX Bandits. She was only 16 when she starred in this children’s adventure film in her native Australia, which wound up being a fairly big hit in that country on its original release. The silly plot involves some young BMX experts trying to stop a gang of crooks from stealing police walkie talkies, but I’ll let Nicole describe it herself in this really obscure clip of her promoting BMX Bandits on an Australian talk show in 1983:
