I’m a big fan of Joe Dante’s 1978 B-movie classic, Piranha, and the recent Piranha 3D, but the 1995 made-for-cable remake… blech! However, the remake is pretty notable for one thing and that’s giving 12-year old Mila Kunis one of her earliest roles as the hero’s daughter. Yes, that is Soleil Moon Frye, the former Punky Brewster, in the role of the camp counselor and when Mila attempts to rescue her from the vicious piranhas and fails miserably, you can almost see the torch being passed between child stars.
