Before They Were Stars: George Wendt in a Pillsbury Commercial

Since I showcased John Ratzenberger’s early role in The Empire Strikes Back the other day, it’s only appropriate that I give the “Before They Were Stars” treatment to his Cheers chum, George Wendt. Back in 1978, when George could still walk through a public place without people yelling “Norm!” at him 50,000 times, he appeared in this commercial for Pillsbury Appleasy. Incidentally, I think that Appleasy was taken off the market a long time ago and I can see why since this ad makes it look like a bowl of puke.
